Free FEMA flood maps
now available in Google Earth
Rahway property owners looking to determine if their property is located
in a flood zone can now go online thanks to the popular computer application
Google Earth and
FEMA’s National Flood Hazard Layer Web Map Service (WMS).
While paper maps can still be purchased from FEMA’s Web Site, the new
Google Earth-based layer is available free of charge and works with a
variety of operating systems and web browsers.

Property owners seeking additional information and/or written
clarification on flood locations in the City should contact the
Department of Public Works and Engineering at (732) 827-2060 to obtain
the necessary form. There is a $15 fee for this service. |
