CITY TO HONOR MLK JANUARY 17
The Rahway
NAACP will be hosting the citywide march and wreath-laying
honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 17,
beginning at 9 am. Marchers will assemble at the American
Legion Post 499 (59 W. Main St.) and march to the city’s
Martin Luther King monument, located at the intersection of
Broad, W. Cherry and Campbell Streets, to lay a wreath at
the monument. A brief program will follow inside the Rahway
Senior Citizen Center, located at 1306 Esterbrook Avenue.
The public is
invited to attend.
