We’re kicking off the fall season of First Thursday with
Rocktoberfest! Celebrate in the Rahway Arts District this
Thursday with some of the area’s best independent bands. Great
food is always around the corner, so bring your friends and
family and get in on all the action! Here’s a preview:
MUSIC
The Embracers – 6:00 – open the festivities in front of the
YMCA on Irving Street
Meet/Pause – 6:30-8 pm– New Brunswick-based Sophistirock
band at the Art Hive at 1491 Main Street from 6:30 - 8 pm
Jazz Pianist Hod O'Brien – 7 pm - in concert at the
Fazioli Piano Loft in the Union County Performing Arts
Center
Socratic – 7:30-9 pm - takes the stage back on Irving Street
to bring the evening to its rock-tastic close
FOOD
Luciano's Italian Ristorante – get your night started with
Happy Hour from 4-6:00
The Waiting Room – Rahway's legendary restaurant and bar.
Looking for some good German beer & brats? You'll find it all
month long just a short walk up Cherry Street

the closing night of the photography show "Commuters"
Book Signing at Merchants and Drovers Tavern Museum where
City historian and author Alex Shipley will be signing copies of
his newest book "The Case of the Unknown Woman"
Rahway Food For Friends – Volunteers will be on hand to
collect your donations of canned and other non-perishable goods.
