Lawrence Street closed beginning April 8

Lawrence Street between E. Hazelwood Ave. & Rt. 1 will be closed for approx. 6 weeks beginning on April 8 at 9 a.m. to move utility lines in preparation for the realignment of Routes 1 & 9 through Rahway.  There will be two detours:

1.         Cars will be detoured down E. Milton Ave. to Main Street to E. Hazelwood Ave., back to Lawrence Street

2.         Cars will be detoured down E. Hazelwood Ave. to Main Street, to E. Milton Ave. to Route 1.
