RAHWAY CELEBRATES MEMORIAL DAY
RAHWAY, NJ – The city has numerous events planned for the
Memorial Day holiday weekend from May 29-31. This year’s theme
is “Remembering our Past to Insure our Future.” All events are
sponsored by the City of Rahway and the Rahway Veterans Central
Committee.
Saturday, May 29

Graduation ceremony for World War II, Korea and
Vietnam veterans who left high school to join the
military at City Hall. |

12 – 1:30 p.m. |
Free
lunch for all veterans at the
Rahway Senior Citizens Center, 1306 Esterbrook
Avenue. |

2 p.m. |
Free patriotic concert
featuring Robert Staryak, Lou Demeter as Elvis and
members of the Rahway High School Band at the
Train Station Plaza (corner of E. Milton Ave.
& Irving Street). Please bring your lawn chair. |
