OLD RAHWAY PHOTOS SOUGHT
RAHWAY, NJ – The
Merchants and Drovers Tavern Association is working on a
companion volume to the 1997 book Images of the Past: A
Rahway Album. Like the first book, the new volume will
include hundreds of old photos of Rahway. Many of these photos
will come from the Association’s collection and have never
before been published.
Are any old photos of Rahway people, places
or events reposing, long forgotten, in a drawer or old trunk at
your house? If so, would you be willing to let Rahway
historians publish them in the upcoming book? The actual
photograph will not have to be sent to the publisher, so the
original will be back in your possession in a few days.
Although the Association is always
interested in photos from the 19th century, photos of
the 20th century are now particularly desirable,
especially those from the 1920s through the 1960s. Even photos
of the 1976 Bicentennial may be of interest.
