FREEHOLDER MOBILE MEETING SCHEDULED
FOR JULY 30 AT
UCPAC
Rahway – The third
Union County Freeholder Board mobile meeting scheduled for
2009 will be held at the
Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway, on Thursday,
July 30. The day, which is capped by a 7 p.m. Freeholder
meeting in the Arts Center, includes a number of
County-sponsored events and services in Rahway, open to all
Union County residents.
“We are looking forward to meeting Rahway residents,” said
Union County Freeholder Chairman Alexander Mirabella. “All are
welcome to come and learn more about their government, and the
services we offer.”
The Union County Performing Arts Center at 1601 Irving Street
in Rahway. The day’s events will also include:
12-4pm: Child Safety Seats (Rahway
Library Parking Lot, 2 City Hall Plaza)
Child safety seats will be inspected by trained personnel from
the Union County Division of Public Safety.
12:00-1:00pm – Senior Program (Rahway Senior Center, 1306
Esterbrook Avenue)
Dr. Karen Ensle of Rutgers Cooperative, sponsored by Union
County, will be the guest speaker at the Rahway Senior’s Healthy
Lunch. Topic of discussion will be “Exercise & Physical
Activity” for seniors.
12- 4pm: Passport services (Union County Performing Arts
Center, 1601 Irving Street)
Staff of the Union County Clerk’s Office will be available to
provide passport services.
6pm-9pm: Freeholder Booth (Union County Performing Arts
Center, Irving Street)
The booth will be set up outside the Meeting Room for residents
to pick up information on various county services and programs.
7pm – Freeholder Meeting (Union County Performing Arts
Center, Irving Street)
Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders will hold its Regular
Meeting starting at 7pm with:
1) A resolution presentation to the Mayor/Council
ceremoniously declaring the City of Rahway as the County Seat
for July 30, 2009.
2) A Presentation to the Rahway High School Performing Arts
program. |
