FIRE DEPARTMENT RECEIVES NEW RESCUE VEHICLE

RAHWAY, NJ –From left, Fire Chief Edward Fritz, Battalion Chief Harold Stahl and Mayor James Kennedy recently took delivery of the fire department’s new light rescue vehicle.  The vehicle is designed to be more mobile than a pumper truck or hook & ladder and will provide needed rescue support for firefighters as they respond to fires and other emergencies.  It is also equipped with specialized equipment to help firefighters deal with nuclear, chemical and biological emergencies.

The 2002 Chevrolet 3500 cutaway van with Stahl utility body was purchased for $35,000 from Multi Chevrolet of Union.
